Investment Portfolio Manager, in the Fund Management Department
The job is based in Jerusalem. The Fund for Israeli Citizens (Wealth Fund), established under the Fund for Israeli Citizens Law, 5774-2014, is hiring for a Jerusalem-based personal contract position (Job No. 5288, public sector), with applications due by August 26, 2026; the fund exists to manage the state’s revenues from levies on natural-resource profits from a long-term perspective, protecting them so the fund endures for generations, and its foreign-currency-only assets are managed by the Management Department at the Bank of Israel under principles of professionalism, responsibility, diversification, risk management, transparency, and legal compliance, working closely with senior institutions and professionals inside and outside the bank, including the Investment Committee, Council, and Knesset Committee. The role involves managing an investment portfolio of overseas bonds and/or equities, including trading and coordination with foreign banks, investment houses, and trading and information systems; conducting analysis and preparing reviews and position papers on asset allocation, investment strategies, financial markets, and new assets and channels; monitoring global economic and market developments and their impact on the fund; and working within the team responsible for the wealth fund’s investments, participating in decision-maker forums and representing the department and bank in bodies such as the Investment Committee, all requiring strong English. Threshold conditions include a recognized academic degree in a relevant field, experience in investment analysis or management in international markets, the ability to work under pressure, and fluency in English.
